CLEP Testing
CLEP examinations cover
material taught in courses that most students take as requirements
in the first two years of college. Colleges
usually grant the same amount of credit to students earning satisfactory
scores on the CLEP examination as they grant to students successfully
completing that course. For more information on CLEP testing,
go to www.CollegeBoard.com
Advanced Placement Tests (AP)
AP tests
are designed to serve as an in-depth measure of a student’s proficiency in a given subject area. Each
exam is three hours in length. Students who attain a sufficient
score on the test may be granted college course credit for course
work they have completed in high school, or they may excused
from a college freshman course requirement in a specific subject.

with disabilities. In addition, the site features a side-by-side
comparison of colleges, information on how students can find
a summer job, and a quick-start guide for counselors, teachers
and career development professionals. Also, use the
SmartAboutCollege site to direct students to free ACT/SAT practice
