• Meet with your counselor to confirm that you are taking the high school courses you need to apply for college.
• Some questions you might want to ask your counselor include:
• Which elective courses do you recommend?
• What activities can I do on my own to get ready for college?
• Does our school have a job shadow/mentorship program?
• Is our school hosting a college prep night? If so, when?
• Can you help me organize a college campus tour?
• Get to know your teachers, counselors and coaches — they can be a huge help on the road to college.
