Take the Tough Classes!

• Take algebra 1 in the eighth grade.
• Take history, geography, English, math and science every year.

• Think about the eighth grade as the first year of the rest of your academic life. In many cases, your grades in your last year of middle school determine which classes you’ll be allowed to enroll in when you go to high school. Your grades do matter!
